The first set of Lorcana (the first chapter) introduces us to 3 starter decks to choose from, each one comes with 2 colored ink types (gems), and each one contains a single pack of the first chapter booster inside.

Lorcana Starter Decks As a Collectable Item
As you may already know, starter decks are mainly used to start playing the card game with ease, that makes them an item to rip open and play. Every card inside of the starter deck has no particular unique value because each starter deck has been printed countless times around the world.
The only exception to that is the included pack inside of the starter decks, this may cause them to gain value due to the popularity of the set inside, so there is some hope for keeping them sealed.
In our experience as collectors of card games, these decks usually have 1-2 unique cards you can only get inside one of these decks, also if you are looking to gain value and sell it in the far future, there are other great Lorcana products to do it with.
Having said that, Keeping the beginner decks sealed can be a nice display on a shelf next to each other, and there are going to be some definitely fan favorite decks over others in the future so we would recommend getting the ones that you want to keep for yourself.
