  1. Enters Exerted: You may choose to have a Bodyguard enter play exerted (sideways). This is usually the best move so they can start protecting immediately.
  2. Must Challenge First: If you have an exerted Bodyguard, your opponent must challenge them before they can challenge any of your other characters.
  3. The “Ready” Exception: If your Bodyguard is “Ready” (upright), they are not protecting anyone. An opponent can skip a Ready Bodyguard to challenge your other sideways characters.
