The Lorcana booster pack is the most exciting way to interact with the game. Every pack is a randomized mystery, offering a chance to find the rarest glimmers in the Inklands. Understanding the internal logic of a booster pack—from card counts to rarity slots—is essential for any collector looking to optimize their pulls.

The 12-Card Anatomy
Every official Disney Lorcana booster pack follows a strict distribution formula. This ensures that every pack provides a playable foundation while still offering the potential for high-value discoveries.
| Slot Type | Quantity | Description |
| Common | 6 Cards | The backbone of most decks; foundational characters and actions. |
| Uncommon | 3 Cards | Specialized cards with more complex abilities. |
| Rare or Higher | 2 Cards | These slots can contain Rare, Super Rare, or Legendary cards. |
| Foil Slot | 1 Card | A guaranteed foil card of any rarity (Or an Epic/Enchanted/Iconic Card). |
Understanding the “Hit” Slots
The most exciting part of opening Lorcana booster packs is the final three cards. Unlike some other TCGs, Lorcana offers multiple opportunities for high-rarity cards in a single pack.
- The Rare+ Slots: You are guaranteed two cards of “Rare” quality or better. This means you could pull two Legendaries in a single pack!
- The Foil Guarantee: Every pack contains one foil card. This card is completely independent of the other slots, meaning it is possible to pull three high-rarity cards in one lucky pack.
The Lorcana Booster Packs Chases
The most elusive cards in the game, known as Enchanted & Iconic cards, appear exclusively in the foil slot. These cards feature borderless, “Inkwash” style artwork and a unique foil treatment. Because they are the rarest cards in any given set, pulling an one is the ultimate goal for any pack-opening session.
Iconic and Epic Cards can be found in later sets starting from the highly popular Fabled set (Lorcana set number 9), Before that the highest pull can only be an Enchanted card.
